Brendan Stapleton on Jacques Copeau

For those interested in Jacques Copeau an article by Brendan can be found in the Copeau archive. He wrote this for the journal Total theatre.
Copeau had an amazing influence on french theatre in the 20th Century. This included some of the main figures in the mime and physical theatre world.
At mimescape we create our mime and character work predominantly to entertain ,thrill and suprise audiences. Our work is always based on a wide range of sources including much we have learnt from research we have done over the years.
So some ideas gleaned from Copeau on the body has been helpful to how we rehearse.
